The Executive Chairman of Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Jamiu Muhammed Asimi, today, Wednesday, 9th July 2025, hosted the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ikenne Local Government Chapter, in his office. The delegation was led by the CAN Chairman, Pastor Joseph Olu Akanbi, who stated that, the purpose of the visit was to pray for the Executive Chairman, entire Ikenne Local Government Area, Ogun State, and Nigeria at large. He emphasized the need to create awareness about the presence and activities of CAN in the Local Government and to reaffirm the Association’s full support for the current administration. In a bold move to usher in a new era of development and optimism, the Executive Chairman of Ikenne Local Government (IKLG), Hon. Jamiu Asimi, on Thursday, 17th April 2025, presented the much-anticipated 2025 fiscal budget, aptly tagged the "Budget of Hope", to the Legislative Council at the Local Government Secretariat.
