The Executive Chairman of Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Jamiu Muhammed Asimi, today, Wednesday, 9th July 2025, hosted the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ikenne Local Government Chapter, in his office. The delegation was led by the CAN Chairman, Pastor Joseph Olu Akanbi, who stated that, the purpose of the visit was to pray for the Executive Chairman, entire Ikenne Local Government Area, Ogun State, and Nigeria at large. He emphasized the need to create awareness about the presence and activities of CAN in the Local Government and to reaffirm the Association’s full support for the current administration. Pastor Akanbi further highlighted that the body seeks the Chairman's cooperation, concern, and commitment towards the advancement of CAN’s goals in the Local Government. IKLG UNVEILS 2025 ‘BUDGET OF HOPE’ – HON. JAMIU Asimi PLEDGES PROSPERITY, GROWTH AND GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT.

In a bold move to usher in a new era of development and optimism, the Executive Chairman of Ikenne Local Government (IKLG), Hon. Jamiu Asimi, on Thursday, 17th April 2025, presented the much-anticipated 2025 fiscal budget, aptly tagged the "Budget of Hope", to the Legislative Council at the Local Government Secretariat. In his address, Hon. Asimi expressed heartfelt gratitude to Almighty Allah and appreciated the unwavering support of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for the crucial role played in securing victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last election. The Chairman emphasized that socio-economic advancement of the local government remains the administration’s primary focus.
