BRIEF HISTORY OF IKENNE LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Ikenne Local Government Area in Ogun State, Nigeria, was created in September 1991 by carving out the former Remo Local Government . Its headquarters are located in Ikenne Remo, a semi-urban area comprising five main towns: Iperu, Ilisan, Ogere, Irolu, and Ikenne. The primary occupations of the people are farming and trading, with a significant focus on Remo stock.
